Wednesday Q&A – 2/23/22

Welcome to the place where your two bloggers ask each other one question each week. We hope you enjoy them as your learn a bit more about us – sometimes we even learn more about each other!

Ray’s question to Karen:

Q: Not long ago you asked me what is my favorite restaurant at Disney – what is yours?

A: I cannot commit to one, and there’s so many more to try, but I’ll share a few memories that stand out.

Most fun – Garden Grill when we met up with you and Lori. The food and company were great and Ryan was still young enough to enjoy the characters and the photos taken with them. The funniest part was when Mickey shot a bird at Pluto for photo bombing! I almost caught it on camera, but wasn’t quite fast enough!

Best breakfast – The Stacked Kouzzina Breakfast – Two Poached Eggs, Kalamata Olive Toast, Artichoke Spread, and Sweet Potato Hash with choice of Bacon or Chicken Sausage. This was a restaurant by Cat Cora. The breakfast and the service was absolutely wonderful, but I’m sad to say, the restaurant closed soon after we left. The previous restaurant, Spoodles, also closed soon after we had eaten there. On our last visit there was a new restaurant, Trattoria al Forno in this location. We thought we might give this restaurant a chance and didn’t dine there. Good news! It is still open!

Best value – Via Napoli. This restaurant is located midway around the Epcot World Showcase, so it is a perfect place to stop and rest. There is delicious pizza and charming Italian staff. What more could you want?

Karen’s Question to Ray:

Q: Tell me something you’ve learned since starting a blog?

A: I’ve learned many things in a short time and am still learning – much like life in general, there’s always something new to learn when you blog! I’ve learned to how to take better pictures – they’re not perfect, but I’m coming along.

I’ve learned just how much I missed writing. It is something that I used to do for fun, but like many things often do, writing took a back seat to my former career and other obligations. I feel very fortunate to now be able to do something that combines two things I love – writing and cooking!

I’ve also learned that there are so many great blogs out there! I appreciate the effort that goes into them on a whole new level now that we’ve built one and understand all of the work involved in it. I also appreciate the nice people that run them – I’ve shared some nice exchanges with them via the comments sections on our blogs and I appreciate that many of them have taken the time to stop by our blog as well.
